Terms of Service

Welcome to SweepMac. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SweepMac application ("App") and the website located at sweepmac.com ("Website"), operated by SweepMac ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using SweepMac, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Overview of the Service

SweepMac is a macOS cleanup utility that scans for and removes unnecessary files from your computer, including caches, logs, temporary files, browser data, and developer tool artifacts. The App is sold as a one-time purchase and requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, including macOS 26 (Tahoe).

2. License

Upon completing your purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SweepMac on your compatible Mac computer(s) for personal or professional use. You may not:

• Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App to any third party.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App.

3. File Deletion and User Responsibility

SweepMac is designed to identify and remove files that are typically safe to delete, such as caches, logs, and temporary data. However, the App operates by permanently deleting files from your system. By using SweepMac, you acknowledge and accept that:

• You are solely responsible for reviewing all files and categories before initiating any cleanup operation.
• You should maintain regular backups of your data before using the App.
• We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or system issues resulting from the deletion of files, whether those files were correctly or incorrectly identified by the App.
• Once files are deleted, they may not be recoverable.

4. System Requirements

SweepMac requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, up to and including macOS 26 (Tahoe). The App supports both Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs running a compatible macOS version. We do not guarantee functionality on unsupported operating systems or configurations.

5. Payment and Refund Policy

Payment for SweepMac is processed securely through Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to the following:

• SweepMac is sold as a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
• All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of the product, we generally do not offer refunds.
• In exceptional circumstances (such as duplicate charges or technical issues preventing installation), you may contact us at support@sweepmac.com within 14 days of purchase to request a review.
• We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the SweepMac application, including but not limited to its code, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, and documentation, are and shall remain the exclusive property of SweepMac. Your purchase grants you a license to use the App; it does not transfer any ownership rights. All content on the Website is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SweepMac is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SweepMac, its creators, affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or damage to your computer system, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license to use SweepMac at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and destroy any copies in your possession. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of SweepMac after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Delaware.
